The Asia Pacific superyacht market broke record yacht sales in 2021, with unprecedented performance stemming from an overall increase in yacht ownership and yacht chartering across the region. Eliza Rayner Group Strategy Analyst Affinity Group, reviews the current market and highlights the key trends that are painting a new era for the Asia Pacific superyacht sector.

Organised by Monaco Marina Management, the 2nd Edition of the Monaco Smart and Sustainable Marina will be held on the 25th and 26th of September 2022 in the Yacht Club de Monaco. Participation can be in person or online. Tropical Asia-Pacific yachting destinations are an increasingly preferred global option for superyachts, and a great escape from cold antipodean winters. South East Asia has opened to foreign-flagged vessels and international visitors after being closed for more than two years.

Global Marine Travel LLC (GMT) and Azamara have entered into a multi-year agreement to provide outsourced travel management services to Azamara for their passenger Air/Sea program. Azamara, the upmarket cruise line and leader in Destination Immersion® experiences, has expanded its existing partnership with V.Group to provide guest and corporate travel services to the Miami based cruise line.

The Sydney International Boat Show returns from 28 July to 1 August 2022 at the International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney and Cockle Bay within the iconic Darling Harbour. The 7th edition of the Mediterranean Yacht Show (MEDYS) offered no less than 87 yachts on display, confirming its reputation as the largest charter show in the east Med. Over 600 charter brokers from all over Europe, the US attended along with one representative from Asia, Charter Broker Lies Sol from N & J Asia.
