The Asia-Pacific cruising grounds have a lot to offer superyacht owners and charter operators. The ASPA Grand Tour was a webinar series that hosted 20 industry professionals, talking about their local cruising grounds and sharing a wealth of first-hand knowledge. The webinars kicked off APSA 10th Anniversary celebrations in 2021.

PARAFFIN 60.1m Feadship has arrived in Phuket and is part of the Burgess brokerage fleet and is available for in person viewings. The beautifully outfitted PARAFFIN is a 60.1m (197ft) yacht built in 2001 by Feadship and thoughtfully refitted in 2010.

What’s changing from early November for vaccinated travellers traveling from the EU/UK to the US?

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) welcomed the decision by the Biden Administration to enable vaccinated travellers to enter the US with a negative COVID-19 test result prior to travel from early November.

The Asia Pacific Superyacht Association (APSA) is ten years old. This young Association that has played an active role in promotion of the Asia-Pacific to the global superyacht community as one of the world’s three main cruising regions.

The global superyacht market has enjoyed some very exciting activity in the past 18 months, and this year’s Monaco Yacht Show was the first time that the superyacht community could really get together. The show had a real ‘welcome back’ feel, but we did miss many of our Asia-Pacific friends who were not able to travel this year.

 

It is a great shame that the APSA 10th Anniversary Superyacht Night event was not able not able to happen this year, but hopefully 2022 will be different.  Two of the Committee Members will be at the Monaco Yacht Show (22-25 September) this year, and if you would like to catch up with either Gordon Fernandes or myself please contact us via APSA Executive Director, Suzy Rayment on info@apsuperyacht.org and she will relay any messages.

Sketches of the tenth OCEA motor yacht will be on display at the OCEA Yachts Stand at Quai L'Hirondelle (QH18) at the Monaco Yacht Show 2021. OCEA yachts are custom-built, and construction of the 32.70m aluminium ocean-going vessel has started - this will be the first OCEA yacht with engines that meet the latest IMO Tier III environmental standards, allowing it to sail in Emissions Control Areas defined by the International Maritime Organization.
