TRAINING FOR THE NAUTICAL INDUSTRY

The Italian Super Yacht Life Foundation (ISYL) provides vocational training in association with NAVIGO and the shipyards in the Viareggio district. In October 2020 three new courses will be on offer to 75 high school graduates. Courses include technical skills and opportunities, whilst providing a pathway to employment in the yachting industry, and in other strategic sectors such as logistics and tourism.

1. Yacht Surveyor (YA.S)

A two-year course, with 25 places offered, open to applicants up to 30 years of age, who aspire to become yacht surveyors. The surveyor is an important professional figure not only during the build phase of a yacht, but also during the rest of the life of the vessel. Surveyors interface with shipyards, inspectors, classification agencies, marine register and of course captains and shipowners. This course provides a total of 1,200 hours of classroom training and 800 hours of internship. Applications can be submitted no later than Tuesday 13th October 2020.

2. Evolved Logistic Organizational Systems and new freight hubs in Tuscany (SOLE)

A two-year course organised in partnership with ITS PRIME and VITA Foundations. Open to 25 high school graduates up to the age of 30, seeking a qualification in the logistics industry: planning and programming complex logistics systems in the various Tuscan economic areas with competence and professionalism. The course includes a total of 1,200 hours of classroom training and 800 hours of internship. Applications should be submitted no later than Saturday 17th October 2020.

3. H.Y.L.T. Head of Hosting & Marketing in Yachting and Luxury Tourism

H.Y.L.T. Head of Hosting & Marketing in Yachting and Luxury Tourism, is organized in collaboration with the ITS TABTurismo Arte Beni Culturali Foundation.  With a two-year duration, it is dedicated to 25 high school graduates with a maximum age of 30 (not completed), who aspire to become highly qualified figures for integrated tourism promotion activities and development of hospitality services in the two areas considered priorities for the economic development and competitiveness of our country: tourism and boating. The course includes a total of 1,040 hours of classroom training and 960 hours of internship. Applications can be submitted no later than Tuesday 5th October 2020.

Applications for all three courses must be submitted to ISYL Foundation.

The courses will start by October 30th 2020.
