Smart Marina Dubai Conference 2023

Monaco Marina Management (M3) hosted the 1st Edition of the "Smart Marina Dubai Conference: Innovations for a Greener Marina and Yachting Industry" on March 1st, 2023, during the Dubai International Boat Show. This conference aimed to bring together professionals from the Marina and Yachting sectors to explore sustainable solutions for the industry.

By contributing to these collective thoughts, we can accelerate the adoption of innovative solutions and create a community that is committed to improving the future of our industry and ocean conservation in the same way that the UN High Seas Treaty did, by starting now to appreciate the first results in a decade” - said Avv. The event was a huge success, bringing together a mix of local and foreign marina managers, marina company directors, journalists, small to very large yacht builders, and yacht maintenance concerns. The conference featured a dynamic lineup of panels and presentations, including "The Dubai Agenda towards a Sustainable Yachting and Cruising Tourism", "Presentation of Marinas and their Innovative Development towards Sustainability", "Dealing with myths when transitioning to a Sustainable & Smart Marina," "Yacht Club de Monaco: an ongoing sustainability journey" and "How GCC Countries Move towards a More Environmental Yachting."

Many actors from different countries such as Habacoa Marina - Bahamas, Corinthia Yacht Club – Qatar, Marina Flisvos – Greece, Oceanco, Sunreef Yachts commit for this 1st Edition as well as local entities such as Dubai Maritime Authority, P&O Marina, Dubai Harbour, Al Seer Marine, Experiential Yachting, Nakheel. Moderator Martin Redmayne from the Superyacht Group played his magic and kept everybody participating, content, and interested, and attendees kept the pace of discussion, which is always a good sign. The marina consultant, Oscar Siches, also presented the pragmatic side of being sustainable and smart, emphasizing the importance of the human factor among the strong technology trend.
