Sanlorenzo Sport Coupe SP110 Sold in Asia

Sanlorenzo Asia, represented by Simpson Marine, is delighted to announce that Asia’s first hull of the new 2022 model Sanloreno SP110 has been sold shortly after her world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival and is set for delivery in spring 2024.

The SP110 is the first model from Sanlorenzo’s brand new open Smart Performance (SP) series and offers impressive performance, topping 40 knots of speed at the lowest fuel consumption. The water jet propulsion by triple MAN V-12 2000HP engines ensures top efficiency and comfort at every speed range and onboard solar panels supply power to run the hotel load.

For Sanlorenzo, the aim of the SP110 project is to write a new success story in yachting and enter the world of sports yachts with a yacht that breaks the mould. The SP110 represents an advanced technological platform that combines innovation and sustainability in an attractive design that favours maximum comfort. This project was made possible by the collaboration of a team of professionals at the highest levels in individual skills: Bernardo Zuccon for the exterior, Tilli Antonelli for product development, Marco Arnaboldi for the hull design, and Piero Lissoni for the interiors.

The SP110 is the result of an ambitious design goal: to guarantee high performance with maximum energy efficiency thanks to a fractional propulsion system consisting of three significantly smaller engines, with the best weight/power ratio. Depending on the conditions and the owner’s needs, the boat is able to move around using just one engine, a pair, or all three, thus allowing great flexibility, low consumption, and a different autonomy depending on the desired speed. The exterior design, by the Zuccon International Project studio, is the result of complex research work to create new stylistic features that strongly identify the new range, while still maintaining continuity with Sanlorenzo’s tradition. The unprecedented forms, the proportions, the aerodynamic lines, as well as the livery, which departs from the shipyard’s more traditional colours to come closer to the more typical colours of sports yachts, refer to the strongly emotional character of this boat.

“We are delighted to have received the first order for this amazing new yacht by Sanlorenzo, which pushes the boundaries of design, performance and sustainability to the next level,” says Nick Stratton, Sanlorenzo Asia Sales Manager. “It is an incredibly powerful yacht that is at the same time elegant, light, nearly silent at high speeds, and provides incredibly smooth handling. We have witnessed how successful she was at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2022, becoming one of the most iconic reveals of this season. The show was very successful for Sanlorenzo Asia, who assisted customers in selecting their own yachts from the Sanlorenzo collection. The sale of SP110 is tangible proof that Asian customers are ready for the next level in Fast Performance yachting.” At 33.5 metres long and 8 metres wide, this two-level yacht will feature a generous three-cabin plus office layout. Construction will make use of state of the art, lightweight materials and the owners will collaborate with the yard to develop a bespoke interior design. This option for customisation, delivering unique yachts for every owner, has been a core value of the yard since its beginnings.

Following the sale of SP110, two more significant sales of Asia’s first SX100 and another hull of the successful SD118 were announced with more imminent orders following the recent yacht shows held in Cannes and Monaco, as the Sanlorenzo brand continues to go from strength to strength.
