Queensland Opened Its Borders

Great news for Queensland as the borders are now open for quarantine free arrival from 22 January 2022. Superyachts are able to enter at any Australian Border Force approved Ports of Entry; these include Cairns, Brisbane and the Gold Coast:

• Fully vaccinated arrivals by sea (including Superyachts) are not required to quarantine. They must have a negative COVID test (PCR or Rapid Antigen Test) in the first 24 hours of arrival.
• Unvaccinated arrivals by sea (including superyacht):
• Must quarantine for 14 days, however:
• May have time at sea since last international port counted towards a person’s quarantine period (providing there are no illness or suspected COVID-19 cases on the vessel); and
• May quarantine for any remaining balance of 14 days onboard the vessel.

This has been long awaited news for our industry and stunning destinations that have certainly missed Superyachts visiting, including The Great Barrier Reef, Lizard Island, Brisbane and The Gold Coast will all be eagerly awaiting their return.

Superyachts 153° are working on bringing more Yachts into Australia and Queensland in the near future.
