Simpson Yacht Charter is delighted to announce that the sailing catamaran flagship from Lagoon Catamarans, the iconic Seventy 7, has joined the company’s growing catamaran charter fleet and will be available as one of the very few Seventy 7s for luxury crewed charters in the Mediterranean starting from August 2018 and later on in Asia.
Due to launch in June 2018, S/Y JOY will spend her first charter season in the Western Mediterranean around Corsica and the French Riviera in between August-October 2018, after that she will Sail the ARC Transatlantic Rally in 2018 to cross the Atlantic and will be available for charters in the Caribbean in Winter/ Spring 2018/19. Summer 2019 will see S/Y JOY chartering in the Mediterranean for the second time, before heading to Asia where her owner is based and where her future charter base will be located.

Large open spaces in the saloon, on the cockpit, flybridge and foredeck area, all with an easy spatial flow, make the most of the catamaran’s impressive volume, while huge windows flood the yacht with natural light.
Located on the main deck the expansive main salon forms the heart of the yacht, with sofas, a bar, entertainment systems, and a dining space. Beautiful accommodations are on offer, with versatile configurations to suit a wide range of group sizes, and modern and luxurious spaces for guests to retreat to.
A particular highlight is the master cabin, which includes a large ensuite bathroom, desk space, walk in wardrobe and generous living area. Direct access from the main saloon and out on to the cockpit and foredeck adds to the exclusivity of the master cabin space.

Leading directly out from the main saloon the large aft cockpit is home to a dining space, extensive seating and direct access up to the flybridge and down to the transom. The forward cockpit includes informal lounge seating, perfect for sheltered relaxation, and provides direct access to the trampoline net for relaxing and sunbathing. Moving upwards, the flybridge with hardtop – ideal for protection from the heat of the day – is yet another beautiful space with a navigation station, sun pads, seating and unspoiled views across the water.

S/Y JOY’s Pre-launch charter rate is:
- Mediterranean (Aug. – Oct. 2018): 42,000 EUR per week, plus 25% APA + local tax
- Caribbean/BVI (Dec. 2018 – Apr. 2019): 48,000 – 52,000 EUR per week, all-inclusive package for 4 - 8 guests. Christmas and New Year rates increase by 15%.
