Lantau Yacht Club Awarded the 5 Gold Anchors Accreditation

Lantau Yacht Club (“LYC / Club”) is honoured to receive the prestigious 5 Gold Anchors accreditation in late September 2021 by The Marina Industries Association (“MIA”), one of the industry’s most respected marina associations, positioning LYC among the most outstanding marinas in the world for its exceptional facilities and remarkable services.

“We are delighted that Lantau Yacht Club is accredited as a 5 Gold Anchor Marina on its first anniversary by the Marina Industries Association. At LYC, all infrastructure, and facilities, on water and on shore, were designed and built according to the most stringent requirements, while the system, procedures, as well as customer service were carefully crafted to attain the best marina quality, offering outstanding environment and experience to our members and crew,” said Ivan Lee, Vice President of Lantau Yacht Club.

Five Gold Anchors is among the highest accolades that the industry awards and is reserved for marinas which offer their customers consistently high standards of service and facilities. “Each rated marina is subject to a rigorous independent audit of their services and facilities which assesses 86 separate criteria covering management processes, the condition and maintenance of the marina, environmental practices and the ancillary facilities and services,” noted Andrew Chapman, MIA President.

MIA’s assessment report described LYC as, “Overall it is a very well-located destination marina catering for the Hong Kong market. The new condition of the site with its effective layout; its cleanliness, high end clubhouse and associated facilities and services; generous marina office and hard stand facilities supported by a relatively large and committed team of staff members – all these combine to make it a yacht club with a bright future.”

“LYC will challenge its own status quo and provide a holistic yachting experience for our members and visitors, making LYC the preferred yachting destination in Hong Kong and in the region,” added Ivan.
