Invitation to Participate in World Boating Day

Superyacht Life Foundation and APSA are proud to endorse World Boating Day and would like to invite you all to take part in its first edition. World Boating Day is an industry initiative crafted to break down barriers and open the doors of our exceptional industry, from 25-26 May 2024.

What is World Boating Day? 

A non-profit, free to join open day comprising a myriad of local events across the globe, all of which aim to foster a greater understanding of our industry and attract public engagement. The initiative is a wonderful chance to showcase some of the behind-the-scenes talent and magic that happens every day – from craftsmanship, construction and design – while at the same time highlighting the enjoyment and lifestyle that leisure boating, yachting, and watersports can offer. Any participating company has the freedom to create its own bespoke event and amplify it using the World Boating Day platform, tailoring the celebration to one’s needs and audience.

Why to join?

Participating companies and organisations could derive several benefits from taking part, depending on the nature and scale of activity they choose for the event. These benefits range from providing companies with a remarkable marketing opportunity to fostering stronger community connections, reaching out to new talent pools, and creating significant media value, thereby promoting the company, increasing demand, attracting new talent, and enhancing the visibility and accessibility of the boating industry.

Your Participation

Each participating company is invited to organise their own local physical or virtual event, which means World Boating Day can be tailored to each company’s activities and needs as part of a wider promotional movement. Designed to be inclusive, if your company is not able to take part with any event it is possible to support the initiative to claim the day by sharing a post or pre-prepared content celebrating boating and the industry behind it through your social media channels. A single-themed post from each of the tens of thousands of companies and organisations in the sector would collectively deliver a powerful global message.

How to join?

The organisation team at World Boating Day has prepared an array of supportive materials to help you in crafting your event. This major new global initiative was conceived by and is being coordinated through the non-profit the Superyacht Life Foundation - an organisation dedicated to spreading the positive image of our industry.
