Horizon Yachts to Reveal Upcoming FD Series Superyacht Designs at Düsseldorf

Horizon Yachts will present details of the brand new FD 80 and FD100 superyachts at Boot Düsseldorf 2024 where the are exhibiting in Hall 7a, Booth G23, Horizon Yachts will reveal designs for the two upcoming FD Series superyachts intended for the European market.

Due to launch in time for the 2024 Horizon Open House in March, the latest FD80 has been designed with a multi-functional layout that further augments the incredible space afforded by this popular high-volume build. Guests are accommodated in four large staterooms comprised of a full-beam, on-deck master and three large staterooms including two convertible cabins on the lower deck. Four crew members are comfortably accommodated in spacious crew quarters aft of the engine room, with separate access from an interior stairwell in the main salon. The main deck further demonstrates the flexibility of the Cor D. Rover-designed FD Series, with a removable dining table on the aft deck, a convertible breakfast/dining table within the salon, and a large galley forward to port that can be closed off from the salon area for privacy.

The bridge deck is arguably the most popular area on the FD80, and the latest model offers an enclosed wheelhouse with a dayhead and raised dinette that converts to a bed if needed. Sliding doors open to review the split-use skylounge with its enviable bar area hosting a 43” fold-down television, teppanyaki grill, ice maker, refrigerator/freezer and four fixed bar stools opposite a U-shaped seating area with Hi/Lo tables. A large Jacuzzi tub with a bar counter and three stools is situated further aft, with a chest freezer, plentiful storage, and ample space for the tender furthest aft. The foredeck offers a U-shaped seating area with dinettes and a large sunpad that can be shaded with sun awnings.

Each Horizon yacht is finished to the highest standards with an interior designed by its professional in-house interior design team. The new FD80 is distinguished by stunning hi-gloss Koto wood with European Grey Oak flooring Cambria Bentley metallic deco stonework and specialized wood trims and door designs.

Highly anticipated for a 2025 launch, the tri-deck FD100 is a showcase of contemporary style, with plentiful natural lighting augmented by rich hi-gloss Koto woodwork and metallic deco brushed black finishes. This model features a well-planned layout with five spacious staterooms including a full-beam, on-deck master and four staterooms comprised of mirrored VIPs and convertible twins plus spacious crew quarters for seven forward on the lower deck. The tender is stored in the tender garage aft, thereby freeing up the aft area of the bridge deck. Flexible seating arrangements are found on the aft deck, while the main salon features a dayhead, convivial seating and a large formal dining area. The well-equipped galley offers an interior stairwell to the crew quarters and the master stateroom forward features a his-and-hers ensuite.

On the bridge deck, the wheelhouse is configured with a dayhead and can be open to or enclosed from the skylounge aft through sliding doors. The skylounge itself is designed with a bar area and L-shaped seating/dinette while on the boat deck aft, a large dining table and wet bar are faced by a U-shaped settee that wraps the stern portion of the yacht. The uppermost deck is an oasis of relaxation, with twin sunbeds, a wet bar and plentiful seating.

“We are thrilled to promote the new FD Series builds to the European market,” says Horizon Yacht Europe director Ron Boogaard. “The constant development of new models and the opportunities for significant customization further underscore the value of the Horizon builds to our clients.”
