Countdown to Singapore Yachting Festival 2024

Just a week to go to the Singapore Yachting Festival (SYF), and this key event is a ‘must do’ on the Asian boating calendar. Organised by ONE°15 Events Management, in collaboration with SG Marine Guide helmed by Wade Pearce, the SYF brings together leading brands, yacht buyers and HNWI’s who are considering a yachting lifestyle.

Returning after a highly successful inaugural event in 2023, the SYF will take place from 25 to 28 April, and showcases an extensive line up of 70 yachts including some impressive superyachts alongside an array of marine craft, supercars, hydrofoil boat and a good deal more. Testament to the Festival’s popularity, all booths and berths are fully subscribed, promising an unforgettable experience for yacht and luxury enthusiasts alike.

Singapore is a dynamic hub for the Southeast Asian boating sector, and the SYF brings together world-leading yacht builders, suppliers, and lifestyle brands. The 2024 edition of the festival will see one world première and 19 Asia-Pacific premières from leading yacht brands that include Axopar, Azimut, Ferretti, Gulf Craft, Leopard, Princess, Sanlorenzo, and Sunseeker among others.

With a strong focus towards sustainability and eco-conscious designs, this year’s line-up also includes yachts like the solar panel-powered electric motors of the Greenline 40, and the Magellano 60’s utilisation of Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil (HVO).

Superyachts attending this year’s event include:

M/Y GALILEO: Largest yacht on display
The 55.7m steel hull and aluminium expedition yacht, M/Y GALILEO, will be the largest vessel on display. Available for charter in the Maldives and Southeast Asia, this award- winning Perini Navi/Picchiotti comes with a traditional interior with a contemporary twist, mixing neutral tones and Indonesian influences. Large volume and light-filled interiors are paired with a silent cruise experience and eco-minded onboard practices, including sustainably sourced products and hybrid propulsion.

M/Y SILENT WORLD:  Available for charter in Asia

For the first time in more than five years, the esteemed M/Y SILENT WORLD is now open for charter in Asia, providing a unique opportunity for individuals or groups seeking a luxury yachting experience in the region. This superyacht boasts a range of luxurious features, including a brand new 11m chase boat, an expansive sundeck complete with a hot tub and dining amenities, integrated wi-fi, and an assortment of water toys that assure guests of an unmatched level of comfort and entertainment onboard. In collaboration with Singaporean digital artists, niceaunties, M/Y Silent World is also hosting a private cocktail session unveiling exclusive art pieces at SYF.

Sanlorenzo SD118

The first of its kind in Asia and the flagship of the semi-displacement range from Sanlorenzo, the SD118 expands the historic line of semi-displacement models and represents a perfect balance between classic, traditional lines and a contemporary interpretation, taking this model to new levels of elegance. To commemorate Simpson Marine’s 40-year journey, the Simpson Marine Group will showcase a distinguished fleet of six yachts that includes the Sanlorenzo SL96A and the SX88, Bluegame BGX73 and BG42, along with the Asia première of the Fairline Squadron 58.

With its full-width body, the signature of this futuristic space ship is the vast owner’s suite in the bow, which seems to hang over the water below. Wally has expertly engineered a strip of tall glass running all the way round the main deck, providing the cabin with 270˚ panoramic views and astonishing natural light, and featuring interior décor by the exclusive Italian design house of Loro Piana. Combined with the Volvo IPS pod propulsion system, the wallywhy200 can cruise at 20 knots and hit 23 knots flat out with the optional enhanced power package.

HH Catamaran: World premiere
The world premiere of the HH88 Catamaran marks a significant milestone for the yachting industry. HH Catamarans is renowned for its award-winning innovative design and superior construction quality – the ideal design for individuals seeking the perfect balance between eco-friendliness, style, performance, and innovation. The Morelli and Melvin designed HH88 tilts the scale toward luxury, and is built entirely in carbon fibre but sumptuously finished in hardwood and exotic stone, and equipped with enclosed fly bridge, hot tub, jet ski launch and more.

Princess Y95

The flagship of the X range of Princess Yachts, this yacht features beautifully sculpted surfaces and long flowing lines. The Princess X95 defines a striking design language, and both her flybridge and main deck cover almost the full length of the yacht, delivering expansive spaces with flexibility. With a fuel capacity of 13,400 litres, the Princess X95 boasts the range for far-reaching and edventurous voyages.

The Singapore Yachting Festival will feature 19 Asia-Pacific and SEA Yachting Premières that include: the Parker Monaco 110, Magellano 60, Bluegame BGX73 and Bluegame 42, Wallypower 58, De Antonio D50, Saxdor 400, Fairline Squadron 58, Aquitalia 68, Dufour 41, and Bluegame 42, Rivamare 38, Greenline 40, and Axopar 45.

Innovative boating and marine technology are also being embraced at this year’s festival, with the inclusion of the Swedish-made Candela C-8, the world's first 100% electric hydrofoil boat, which flies above the water, offering a quiet yet thrilling experience. Due to its efficient design, it is the first electric boat to combine a long range with high performance.

Also present at SYF will be the 10-seater AirFish Wing-In-Ground (WIG) craft by ST Engineering AirX is a ground-breaking hovercraft-like vessel that utilises aerodynamic forces and air pressure generated between itself and a water surface to reduce induced drag and achieve more fuel efficient, high travel speed. This is cutting-edge marine innovation and technology, and is slated for certification and entry into market by 2025.

Another drawcard at this year’s festival is the luxury lifestyle experiences that include the daily supercar parades, with festival attendees invited to experience the roar of engines and allure of luxurious automobiles. The daily supercar parades will take place from 3.00 to 6.00pm, and each parade presents a fresh spectacle – The ExotiCar Club on 25 April, Porsche on 26 April, Lamborghini on 27 Apr, and Ferrari on 28 April – making the supercar parade an unmissable sight. In addition, Aston Martin Singapore proudly presents three icons of power and luxury, DB12 Volante, DBX707 and the DB12 Coupe, which will be on display throughout the whole festival.

A 'Lifestyle Festival Market' is another new addition, and will celebrating the diverse interests within the yachting community. The market will feature a showcase of pop-up alfresco stalls with food, beverages, and family-friendly carnival games. Attendees can also enjoy adrenaline-pumping demonstrations of the latest gadgets like jet-boarding, while live music and captivating roving entertainment add to the ambiance. Alongside the main yachting attractions, attendees can explore recreational water sports equipment including tenders, and those interested in experiencing the latest in water toys can indulge themselves by heading to the experiential zone – which offers sea trials aboard charter vessels, speedboat rides, and the chance to feel the excitement of a SeaBob-jet ride.

Tickets are available online and are specially priced at S$54.50 nett for a single-day pass, S$81.75 nett for a multi-day pass, and S$218 nett for the 2-day conference pass.
