APSA Asia Superyacht Night 2022

The Asia Superyacht Night held on the eve of the Monaco Yacht Show, is APSA’s signature event and a real crowd pleaser. This year’s theme is ‘South Pacific’, celebrating the fun and friendliness of these South Seas islands. Seven sponsors have come onboard, and will be making sure that all our guests are  charmed by the South Pacific vibe.

Nigel Beatty, Chairman of APSA, is pleased that that APSA can finally host an event which has been a victim of Covid for the last two years. “We held the last Asia Superyacht Night back in 2019, and it was a real shame that we couldn’t celebrate APSA’s 10th Anniversary last year. This year we are pulling out all the stops; the Novotel rooftop is an awesome venue with its spectacular views of Port Hercules. The timing is perfect, being held on the eve of the Monaco Yacht Show, and everyone loves the relaxed party atmosphere. This year’s ‘South Pacific’ theme will have everyone on their feet and dancing.

Maritime Cook Islands is the premium sponsor for the event, and the Cook Islands dancers will be welcoming the guests and weaving their island magic. Other sponsors include Hill Dickinson, YACHTZOO and Superyacht Australia (Gold Sponsors), and GMT Global Marine Travel, Azure Yacht Crew Health, and Tahiti Tourisme (Silver Sponsors).

Talking with the sponsors, there are a number of different reasons as to why they have become involved in this signature event. Angelos Chatzigeorgiou, CEO of Maritime Cook Islands, says “Maritime Cook Islands is honoured to be the lead sponsor for APSA’s Asia Superyacht Night in Monaco. It gives us the opportunity to raise our profile, both in the region and internationally, as a successful registry and viable choice for superyacht owners."

Gold sponsor YACHTZOO CEO Darren Hall says “YACHTZOO is proud to be a premium sponsor of the Asia Superyacht Night for the fifth year in a row. We are delighted to help the efforts made to promote the Asian regions to charterers and yacht owners alike. This is a great event to network with like-minded professionals from the industry as well as extend our knowledge on these fabulous destinations.”

Hill Dickinson is a founding member of APSA and Alex Teji, Partner, says: “With offices in London, Monaco, Piraeus, Singapore and Hong Kong, our yacht specialists are well-placed to serve the international superyacht clients. We have supported APSA from the start, and are pleased to help support the development of superyacht  business in the Asia-Pacific region.”

David Good, Superyacht Australia adds, “The Asia Pacific Superyacht Association event on the eve of the Monaco Yacht Show is our favourite event of the show. Sharing a drink with our geographical neighbours on the rooftop overlooking Port Hercules, the spiritual home of the superyacht industry, is surreal, with all of us a long way from home. This event certainly builds camaraderie for the long days ahead at the show, with our collective desire to increase visitation to Asia-Pacific.

Silver sponsors GMT Global Marine Travel CEO Tim Davey says, “We appreciate all the work that APSA does to continually promote Asia and the Pacific as a superyacht destination. It is a wonderful side of the world providing variety and experiences second to none.”

Azure Yacht Crew Health is also a silver sponsor. Co-Partner Claire Murray French says, “We have not been with APSA for that long, but are loving being part of this Association. As a purely yachting company with offices in Japan and Hong Kong, as well as Florida and Monaco, APSA membership is very important to us, and we jumped at the chance to be able to sponsor the #1 kick-off party for the Monaco Yacht Show. Thanks for the opportunity and support.”

Manoa Rey, Marketing Coordinator for Tahiti Tourisme, adds, “The plan for marine industries in the South Pacific is to collaborate in promoting the destination to visiting superyachts, in addition to each country's own promotion to attract high net worth visitors from around the world."

All APSA members are welcome to attend the Asia Superyacht Night, but they must register first in order to secure a place as numbers are limited. Please contact Suzy Rayment on +852 9680 3511 or email marketing@apsuperyacht.org to register for your invitation.
