Affinity Group formed in 2004 in the Isle of Man with an initial focus on the luxury asset sector. Following the success of the newly formed superyacht register in the Isle of Man, Affinity earned a reputable position and as a result, many clients that the company took on in 2004 are still clients today. In assisting high net worth individuals, the company quickly developed relationships with clients who demanded attention to detail and excellent service.

Affinity’s success in the Isle of Man led them to set up a sister office in Malta. Affinity’s position in the luxury asset sector has aided them to build an extensive network of well trusted intermediaries that are relationships built on trust and discretion. The company’s wealth of experience over many years entails a broad depth of knowledge and developed expertise to offer a variety of fiduciary services.

Since becoming experts in Yachting and Aviation, Affinity have widened their scope and replicated their success and expertise into many other sectors such as eGaming, Family Office, Commercial Property and Resident Citizenship. Affinity are now recognised as a leading CSP in the eGaming sector, with extensive services assisting multiple structures. Affinity are also at the forefront of emerging sectors such as Fintech and Esports.  Despite this diversification, Yachting is an integral part of what they do and remains at the heart of the company.

In 2019 the Company underwent an acquisition and under the new leadership team the Company has undergone a period of unprecedented growth, surpassing over £2 billion of assets under administration. In addition to growing the client portfolio Affinity are an “employer of choice” by cultivating a democratic, friendly working environment where staff build relationships based on trust, empowerment and communication.

Affinity’s growth has driven their expansion into a new jurisdiction and at the beginning of 2021 they opened their new office in the Cayman Islands. Affinity’s vision is to grow the business organically whilst continuing to provide the same personal, boutique service to clients that rely on them for expert advice that spans sectors and jurisdictions. Affinity’s new office in Cayman offers clients further opportunities and flexibility to meet their individual requirements.

Affinity’s focus in the Cayman Islands will be primarily be on the Yachting sector, forming an extension of tried and tested practices. The new jurisdiction presents new opportunities for clients outside of the EU, with avenues such as Temporary Admission allowing non-EU yachts to sail in European waters for up to 18 months. Affinity’s personal approach provides clients with a seamless experience; acting as a link for owners, managers and Captains to provide bespoke guidance with support through the various regulatory requirements associated with yacht ownership.
