Superyacht Crew Academy is a registered training organisation and industry leader, offering fully accredited courses to enable your qualifications to take you anywhere you want to go. They have recently added online course to their extensive range of International and Australian recognised competencies that will place you into your dream of working on a Superyacht or in the Maritime industry across a range of roles and skills. The courses are packaged with the required mandatory safety standards and students can add on extra skills.  Superyacht Crew Academy also operate as Sydney Maritime Institute which is a division of the Superyacht Crew Academy to provide training courses for people wishing to work on Australian Commercial vessels. PDSD – STCW Designated Security Duties (PDSD) Course for Superyachts

This Designated Security Duties (PDSD) Course has been tailored towards crew & staff of luxury Superyachts, Mega Yachts and Motor Yachts. For other vessel types, see the beginning of ‘Details’ in the tabs below for more vessel-type options. The aim of this Online Proficiency in Designated Security Duties Course, also referred to a Vessel Security Duties (VSD), is to provide those undertaking Designated Security Duties onboard yachts with the essential education and training meeting with the Knowledge, Understanding and Proficiency (KUP) requirements, the 2010 Manila Amendments, and the requirements of Section A-VI/6, paragraphs 6 to 8 of the STCW Convention and Code, and Table A-VI/6-2, and the International Ship and Port Facility security (ISPS) Code.

STCW Ship Security Officer (SSO) Course for Superyachts

This Ship Security Officer (SSO) Course has been tailored towards potential SSO’s of luxury Superyachts, Mega Yachts and Motor Yachts. For other vessel types, see the beginning of ‘Details’ in the tabs below for more vessel-type options. The aim of this Online Proficiency as Ship Security Officer Course, also referred to a Vessel Security Officer (VSO), is to provide the essential education and training meeting with the Knowledge, Understanding and Proficiency (KUP) requirements, the 2010 Manila Amendments, and the requirements of Section A-VI/5, paragraphs 1 to 4 of the STCW Convention and Code, and taking into account the guidance given in Section B-VI/5 of the Code, and Table A-VI/5.

Lithium-Ion Battery Safety Awareness Course for Superyachts

Lithium-ion batteries are becoming increasingly common in everyday items such as smartphones, laptops, and electric vehicles. They are also found on yachts, in power tools, remote controls, UPS, servers, personal watercraft, and tenders. Despite their many benefits, these batteries can also present significant dangers. Tailored specifically for yacht crew, officers, captains, and yacht managers, the Lithium-ion Battery Safety Awareness on Superyachts course helps Learners identify and implement suitable Li-ion fire prevention measures and considerations for responding to battery-related emergencies.
