Expat Marine Yacht Insurance at the Singapore Yacht Show

After an absence of a couple of years due to the clash with the Hong Kong Sevens Expat Marine was once again at the Singapore Yacht Show seeing clients, meeting prospective ones and generally catching up with the industry. As usual there were various forums and events on the sidelines of the show which were very useful. Colin Dawson commented ‘the meetings outside of the show itself were of very high quality and it was very good to be able to catch up with yacht industry colleagues to hear what’s happening around the region’ . Expat Marine had a number of their clients’ yachts displayed in the show itself, Dawson went on to comment ‘it was good to see that our clients are looking after their yachts to a standard that is high enough to have them displayed by the yacht brokers and dealers involved. All credit goes to these clients and their managers who spend time and effort in looking after their yachts so well’.

The insurance industry is beginning to go through a period of change with insurers reviewing terms of cover and brokers changing around a little. This uncertainty has resulted in an increased number of enquiries to Expat Marine which is going into its ninth year of operation. This stability and that of the insurers used by the firm gives owners and the yacht industry confidence to have their assets protected by the A Grade security and very wide cover afforded.  Dawson finished by stating ‘While premiums are increasing, the continued focus on looking after the interests of owners is the number one priority for Expat Marine and we will continue to focus on these needs.’
