Chairman's Message November 2020

APSA is pleased to announce that the APSA Guide is now online and can be found on the APSA website. See attached link where it can be viewed and downloaded from the APSA Website (Publications), https://www.apsuperyacht.org/publications.html

Designed to work on your desktop and mobile devices, the Guide can be downloaded so it is easy to access anywhere and anytime. APSA will be updating the digital version on a more regular basis, so please let us know if there are any changes to your company details or we need to update the country information.

This month APSA was also pleased to be a supportive partner for the Italian ‘YARE’ (Yachting Aftersales and Refit Experience) event that was a series of digital webinars organized by NAVIGO. Over 30 APSA members took up the complimentary offer to participate in the seminars and Vice Chairman Christophe Ceard was part of the panel presentation on ‘Managing owner’s expectations.’ This was a good opportunity to reconnect to many of the APSA Captains and also to expand this membership group within APSA.

As opportunities to connect at boat shows has been extremely limited this years, we would like to offer members additional  opportunities to connect by sending out targeted ‘Email Direct Mailings’ (EDM) to the APSA database, which has doubled over the last year. Each APSA Premium Member is entitled to send out two EDMs, and APSA Standard Members one EDM within each membership year. If you wish to send out more EDMs this can be accommodated, but for an additional cost.

Business introductions are also part of the APSA service, and this is happening on regular basis now that APSA is being recognised as a resource for expert advice and information on the Asia-Pacific region. Our connections are continuing to expand and we would like to welcome Diane Byrne, Editor and Founder of MegayachtNews.com an online publication which has been delivering all-original, authoritative content to American yacht owners, buyers, and their circles of influence.

Finally, we are planning a series of APSA webinars in January 2021, so save the dates for the ‘APSA Grand Tour’ designed to promote superyacht cruising in the Asia – Pacific Region. The webinars will be held on the 12th, 19th and 26th January and more details will follow shortly.  Thank you for your support of APSA, and we look forward to working closely with and promoting the APSA membership in this new digital age!
