Chairman’s Message 1 August 2022

Dear APSA Members and Friends

With just under two months remaining until the Monaco Yacht Show 2022, our sponsors are now onboard for the legendary ‘APSA Superyacht Night’ to be held on Tuesday 27 September on the rooftop of the Novotel Hotel Monaco. Thank you to all those members who have confirmed their attendance, and we look forward to hearing from members who plan to be there so we can add your names to the limited guest list.

A number of APSA members and the Asia-Pacific in general has been making news this month: a location in The Maldives was awarded ‘Best Beach in Asia’ accolade at the Travel + Leisure 2022 ‘World’s Best’ Awards and APSA member Gold Coast City Marina (GCCM) was voted the global leading Superyacht Refit Yard in ACrew’s Superyacht Business Awards.

The Sydney International Boat Show is back in action after three years of Covid blues. APSA members Tahiti Tourisme were exhibiting at the show, along with Superyacht Australia who gave a number of lectures to secondary school students about careers in the superyacht industry. Darling Harbour is the perfect location for a yacht show, and Sydney Harbour is a great place to get out on the water.

Boating in the Asia-Pacific region continues to grow, and companies such Affinity Group are keen to keep abreast of all changes in the region. APSA will continue to be a key connector for the region, and keep members informed of events and opportunities such as the 2nd Edition of the Monaco Smart and Sustainable Marina event being held 25/26 September 2022 in the Yacht Club de Monaco.

Looking forward to seeing you soon at one of our APSA events.

Regards

Nigel Beatty
