Asia Superyacht Night (Hong Kong) 2025

The Asia Superyacht Night (Hong Kong) was a joint industry networking evening hosted by the Asia-Pacific Superyacht Association (APSA) and the Hong Kong Boating industry Association (HKBIA). Held at the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club, Kellett Island on the 8 May, the event was the concluding function for the 2nd Asia-Pacific Superyacht Summit (APSS) organised by SuperYacht Times.
The Association Chairs, Nigel Beatty (APSA) and Lawrence Chow (HKBIA), welcomed the attendees, including members from both Associations as well as delegates and guests from the APSS. The Asia-Pacific Superyacht Association was created in 2-011 in response to a call for a pan-regional organisation to represent the boating industry throughout the Asia-Pacific, where differing regulations in different countries, and varying accessibility to information, can sometimes cloud the appeal of the region as a cruising and boating destination. From the Arabian Gulf in the west to Tahiti in the east, this huge region is very much open to superyachts, and have all the support services that they require, as well as some of the best cruising grounds on the planet. Just ask APSA!
The Hong Kong Boating Industry Association was born out of a need for a representative body to engage with Government. Established in 2018 the leisure boating industry in Hong Kong is a great deal larger than previously recognised by officialdom, but that information gap is now being addressed.
It was great to be able to welcome Sponsors' representatives at the Asia Superyacht Night (Hong Kong): Kerim Demirkoy (FEMA Marine), Eleanor Roi (Maritime Cook Islands), Antony Cowie (Cowie & Co), Martin Lo (Cheoy Lee) and Francesca Webster (Superyacht Times and YACHTEYE) were all invited to say a few words, and were presented with a token of appreciation by Nigel Beatty and Lawrence Chow. Among the special guests, organisers were delighted to welcome Alpha Lau, Director-General of Investment Promotion at InvestHK, and Adrian Pang, Commodore of the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club.
With over 180 people present, sunset cocktails with a fabulous view across Victoria Harbour were a great way to celebrate the end of a very successful two-day summit, and the continued growth of yachting and the superyacht sectors in Hong Kong and the Asia-Pacific region.
Our thanks to our Sponsors:
