APSA Grand Tour Webinar Series 2021
The Asia Pacific Superyacht Association (APSA) is proud to present the APSA Grand Tour 2021, a webinar series to be held on the 12th, 19th, and 26th of January 2021 at 1700hrs HKT (GMT +8). Part of the year-long APSA 10th Anniversary celebrations, the series will cover cruising and charter in the Asia-Pacific Region, and promote the region as the world’s ‘third cruising destination’.

Session 1: Oceania/Pacific Region: Tuesday 12 January, 2021
Introduction: Nigel Beatty (APSA) and David Good (Superyacht Australia)
Panellists: Mark Wightman (Integrated Marine), Angela Pennefather (Melanesian Luxury Yachts) and Trenton Gay (Gold Coast City Marina).
Topic: APSA has members in Australia, New Zealand, Melanesia, Tahiti, the Solomon Islands and PNG. The Pacific Ocean is a vast cruising area, and local knowledge is key to making the most out of any yacht’s visit to the region. Besides great cruising opportunities, Australia, and New Zealand also offer specialised shipyard services, as well as technical and professional expertise, making these countries a centre of excellence for refit or maintenance stopovers
Session 2: East Asia Region: Tuesday 19 January, 2021
Introduction: Joe Yuen (APSA) and Colin Dawson (Expat Marine)
Panellists: Mike Simpson (Simpson Marine), Nigel Beatty (SYL Japan) and Cpt Paul Brackley (Central Yacht)
Topic: The second APSA Grand Tour webinar moves to East Asia. APSA has members in China (the Greater Bay Area and Hainan), Hong Kong, Japan, and Taiwan. With infinite opportunities to explore Japan, to cruise and charter in Hong Kong, or undertaking refits and maintenance in Taiwan, this region has a lot to offer superyachts whether it’s for cruising, maintenance or refits.
Session 3: South and Southeast Asia Regions: Tuesday 26 January, 2021
Introduction: Nigel Beatty (APSA) and Richard Lofthouse (Catalano Shipping Services).
Panellists: Gordon Fernandes (Asia Pacific Superyachts), Andy Shorten (The Lighthouse Consultancy) and Scott Walker (NABS Engineering/APS)
Topic: The third APSA Grand Tour webinar covers South and Southeast Asia. APSA has members in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, India, and Sri Lanka. South and South East Asia provides diverse and adventurous cruising opportunities along with more charter opportunities. Service and refits are now also available as superyacht look to spend more time in the region.
